David Tarpinian
English teacher David Tarpinian earned his Bachelor's Degree at Boston College.
He founded and managed the largest residential construction company in Maine before dedicating his life to running, riding and teaching.
Tarpinian is a longtime participant in the grueling Ride and Tie -- a 50 mile hybrid marathon combining horseback riding and running through mountainous terrain.
A seasoned veteran around the chalkboard as well as the track, Tarpinian begins his 12th year of teaching English at Tam in the Fall of 2003.

Social Studies teacher Sharilyn Scharf hails from Palos Verdes, California.
Though she has not yet fully embraced the Northern California lifestyle, she swears allegiance to the San Francisco Giants, the 49ers and even the Golden State Warriors.
Scharf claims to have watched or listened to every Warriors game over the last decade, testimony to her fierce loyalty and dedication, traits that she readily extends to her craft and to her students.
Scharf earned her masters degree in education from UCLA and is one of six mentor teachers in the district.
She is the only National Board Certified Social Studies teacher in Marin.
| Michael Goldstein
Multimedia fanatic Mike Goldstein traveled to over 50 countries before returning to Marin to settle and teach in the same district where he graduated from high school nearly a half-century ago.
Goldstein earned his B.A., M.A. and teaching certificate all in the UC system.
He has credentials in both English and Social Studies, has taught high school for ten years, including a year in Taiwan,
and speaks Mandarin and multimedia. He taught himself how to use computers and was the only high school teacher in the country
to win the National Semiconductor US-Wide Internet Innovator of the Year Award in 2001.
